Down in the depths of Schleswig municipal court, deep beneath clerks' offices and cabinets, in the torturer's former canteen, there is an old, shameful proof of the city's corruption and rottenness, which once was stood up against by the only fair and just council the Schleswig has ever seen and ever will see. Summoned by an aggrieved widow, distressed by a greedy nobleman and judges bribed by his filthy silver...
